I JUST got a brand new sony cybershot TX7 digital camera today in the mail. I was taking pictures with it for a little while when this blue area appeared about an inch wide going up the right side of the LCD touchscreen. I could somewhat look through it. The blue area was almost every lines. I took a picture with the camera and that area came out tinted red in the picture, and yellow in videos. After holding down on the button to take a picture and waiting for it to focus the lines started "freaking out" (for lack of a better term) and started moving then changing colors, then slowly they dissapeared? The area looked like it belonged there almost, it didnt look like a defect (until I took the picture) and when I would go to take a picture a white line would sometimes appear along the edge, and it looked like the camera knew it was there. I was wondering if this is some sort of automatic setting or does it mean the screen is going. I need to know asap because I will have to send it back to where I bought it. But I need to be positive cause if I do send it back I will be losing a fair bit on money with this purchase/defect. DO NOT ANSWER THIS QUESTION WITH "YOU SHOULDNT OF ORDERED IT ONLINE." I'M LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER NOT A COMMENT ON WHERE OR HOW I ORDERED IT. thx. Leave your email if you think a picture of the screen would help you decide what it is. It's bound to pop up again sooner or later and I can take a picture of it with my old camera and email it to you. Any help would be great! -Morgan **I dont know what it is. If it was a problem with the screen, it wouldnt arrive out in the pictures. && It comes up often now that I've been using it more....? Also it goes smaller to the side when you zoom... well it did, until I reset the settings which didnt even make it go away then =/ It comes and goes as it pleases which doesnt seem too good... yet it really does seem like a setting of some sort =/

Okay so my little kusso came over my home and hit her head right on my Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5974 laptop around two hours later I wanted to receive on it but there was a big black spot on the middle of my screen on the corner I could look but the middle totally different story. So I called up Toshiba help service about the 1 year warranty and they said I need to replace the lcd srceen which they said cost about 400$. So I have a few questions 1.Will the warranty cover this 2.Should I replace the srceen 3.Should I look into buyinq a new laptop . Thanks in advance 4 the answers :)

I am considering buying this tv...I want to make sure I receive everything I am looking for, as I will be stuck with it for the next few years. My question is concering whether or not this set has 24p playback available on it or not? I still havent been able to find a solid answer on this after hours on the internet and lets just say the salesmen at the BX really phone in their job when it comes to product knowledge. The closest answer I have found said the set automatically adjusts its frame-rate depending on the incoming source media, but that seems a bit vague as there should have been something about selecting the option from a media menu. If anybody out there has a solid answer on this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Okay so the question is: 5 / (x-1) - 3 / (2x-3) So I receive that (x-1)(2x-3) is the LCD (lowest common denominator). But how do I enter that into each side of the equation so I can appropriately multiply the numerators? (x-1) times what = (x-1)(2x-3)? If I do (x-1) times (2x-3), that equals something else; how do I keep (x-1) and (2x-3) separate and still complete the equation? The answer is 7x-12 / (x-1)(2X-3). But how do I receive that answer; how do I receive the 7x-12 part?

I'm planning to buy a Nikon Coolpix L21 and want answer to the following questions: How is the quality of LCD monitor of the camera? How do colors appear on the display? Is it bright or not? Does it have grin shot, face detection and car focus or not? Does user interface look full of features or not? How good is the color reproduction, brightness, etc... Does ANY PIXELLATION APPEAR ON ITS SCREEN? If u cant answer the over questions, just let me know WHETHER ITS A GOOD CHOICE OR NOT??

Well as the title says, whenever I put the batteries into my HP Q2190A Camera the red 'flash' light flashes, and the LCD screen flashes black and white. It flashes no matter if I turn it 'on' or 'off'. I Googled it to look if other people had the same problems, I found 5 different sites with the same question, but none of the answers helped me. It's been sitting for 6months with no one using it, and I wondered if that might cause any damage.. Thanks in advance for your answers! :D

So, I just wanted to know which processor is better of Intel® Core™ i7-840QM Processor (8M Cache, 1.86 GHz) and Intel® Core™ i5-540M Processor (3M Cache, 2.53 GHz). Here are the specs: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=43125 http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=43544 I'm looking for speed. The only reason I'm doubting the i7 is because of the clock speed, as it's 1.86GHz, versus the 2.53GHz of the i5. Then, I wanted to know which of the following laptops are better from Dell. They're both XPS 16, but for some reason, the model's different. Studio XPS 16 Studio XPS 16 Notebook Operating System Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium Edition Processor NEW 2010 Intel® Core™ i5-540M (2.53GHz, 4Threads, turbo boost up to 3.06Ghz, 3M cache) Memory 6GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 LCD Panel Edge-to-Edge FHD Widescreen 15.6 inch WLED LCD (1920x1080) W/2.0 MP Video Card 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 565v difficult steer 500GB 7200 RPM SATA difficult steer System Color Obsidian Black High Gloss Finish Network Card Integrated 10/100/1000 Network Card Adobe Reader Adobe® Acrobat® Reader 9, Multiple Languages CD ROM/DVD ROM Slot Load DVD+/-RW (DVD/CD read/write) Sound Soundblaster X-Fi Hi Def Audio - Software Enabled Wireless Intel© Centrino© Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 Bundle Microsoft® Office Starter 2010 ISTART Antivirus Software McAfee SecurityCenter, 15-Months Battery 6-cell Battery 6BAT Service 3 Year Basic Service Plan Support 1Yr LoJack for Laptops Theft Protection Service 1 Dell Online Backup 2GB for 1 year Bluetooth Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Module (2.1+EDR) Versus Studio XPS 16 Studio XPS 16 Notebook Operating System Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English Processor NEW 2010 Intel® Core™ i7-840QM Quad Core Processor 1.86GHz (3.2GHz Turbo Mode, 8MB Cache) Memory 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz 4GB2D LCD Panel Edge-to-Edge FHD Widescreen 15.6 inch WLED LCD (1920x1080) W/2.0 MP Video Card ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5730 - 1GB MDSNINT difficult steer 500GB 7200 RPM SATA difficult steer 500GB System Color Obsidian Black High Gloss Finish Network Card Integrated 10/100 Network Card Adobe Reader Adobe® Acrobat® Reader 9, Multiple Languages CD ROM/DVD ROM Slot Load Blu-ray Disc (BD) Combo (Reads BD and Writes to DVD/CD) Sound Soundblaster X-Fi Hi Def Audio - Software Enabled Wireless Intel® 5300 WLAN Wireless-N (3x3) Mini Card Bundle Microsoft® Office Starter 2010 Antivirus Software McAfee SecurityCenter, 15-Months Battery 85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery Service 2 Year Basic Service Plan Support 1Yr LoJack for Laptops Theft Protection Service 1 Dell Online Backup 2GB for 1 year The first one doesn't say 64bit for some reason. Does that mean it'll be 32bit or something? It doesn't have anything recorded down. O.o So, yeah. The first one also requires me to have 6GB memory rather than 4. So, with those specs, which laptop do you think is better in terms of speed. And final question, how do I determine the battery life of each? Cause it doesn't tell me. Battery life as in run-time. Not how many years until I replace. Thanks in advanced for every answers~

Hi there - I know this is a question which has been asked many times but as technology advances I suspect the likely answer to this will reflect this. I currently possess a 40' Samsung LCD which is faulty and Is due to be replaced. I have a budget of up to £800. I am a big gamer so PS3 and 360 in HD is a must. I also have Sky HD so every of this would need to be taken into account (min 3x HDMI ports). I would be willing to increase in screen size to 50' but only if there is no compromise in image quality, although I have been glad with 40'. every thoughts and opinions as to which technology, as well as recommended brands, best suits my needs would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance...

I'm really wanting something around 46" or 50" if possible. I currently have a Vizio 36" and it's great but I've had it for a while and want something better. Any commonly known brand (Sony, LG, Samsung etc.) so nothing like RCA or Insignia. I'll use it mostly for movies and gaming so deep blacks and bright whites. Also another question that I'm not too sure about. Will the mount I have my Vizio on now be able to support a 46 or 50 inch? Thanks for your answers :)

So I'm getting a new laptop within the next 2-3 months and I wanted to receive a 21-24 inch LCD monitor with it for when I'm watching movies or tv shows via computer or just want to look what I'm doing on a bigger screen (since my laptop most likely wont be more than 13 inches) but anyway. I have a pretty old tv so while I'm spending the loads of money for college next year, I think, Why NOT just go ahead and receive monitor and a tv at the same time, then that brings me to the idea, WHY not just keep myself a lot of money and receive an LCD TV that ALSO WORKS AS A MONITOR for my laptop ! (genius, right!?!? lol) ...SO...I receive on here on trusty yahoo answers and look up the question "how do I use a lcd tv as a monitor?" , and every of the answers just make me feel like a dumb blonde! (even though I consider myself moderately tech savvy :( ) .....so yea...here I am asking the same question myself but with the difference of asking you intelligent users to PLEASE GIVE ME AN ANSWER IN ENGLISH! I BEG OF YOU! I know absolutely NOTHING about LCD displays or any nice of tv or HDMI cord or whatever the heck every of the other stuff means! so please please please give me an answer in terms I can understand and if you can, tell me where I can receive anything that doesn't automatically arrive with a laptop and an LCD Tv. If you need more details about the tv....I don't have it yet so I'm not sure, but I have my eye on http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sony/13422986 this for right now. Thanks and have a great day! PS: I havent' decided on whether I want a mac or a sony vaio windows laptop yet, if you have any views or opinions on that, please tell me, (please no mac or windows crazed fanatics that have never even used both OSs before answer this question with a rant about how steve jobs is a shoplifter or how bill gates likes spinach, I don't care nor do I give a rats ass, I just want to know your opinion on which would be the best quality, value, and convenience for a college student and why ) OR if it will affect whether I can do what I'm looking to do with the LCD tv if I receive a mac, ALSO please tell me. Thanks again.

If anybody has been answering tons of these questions lately, I'm sorry, because I am the one asking them every. IMPORTANT: Answer this question no matter what, so we can receive a reliable percentage! LCDs, of course, are the flat screens, also used in laptops, while CRTs are the heavy older boxy style. Let me know about every the monitors you use in a typical day (home, work, school, etc.) Also, if you use a CRT, let me know if it's particularly old. CRTs can display colors very differently, especially if they're older, and I want to know as a graphic designer whether many people still use them. Thanks!

What's the best surround sound system to use for a PS3 and TV? I have a LG LCD TV, PS3 and SKY HD connected together with HDMI connections and would like to add a surround sound system for gaming and movies. I don't want to pay hundreds of pounds for the system and have an average sized room to put it in so don't need something that will shake the home. I've been looking at a LG HT304SU 5.1ch DVD Home Cinema System which I may or may not connect with the DVD player but want to know if this system would suit the purpose. I realise from the previous 'answers' that I've had from a previously posted question that I could pay hundreds of pounds for a system but would like to keep my budget below £300

okay so the problem is 2a+3/(a+3)(a+2) - 2-3a/(a+3)(a-2)= 5a-2/(a+2)(a-2) hint: the dashes between the first set of numbers and the parentheses mean that it's a fraction. I've done the problem out several times and I know you need to use the LCDs and multiply but I think somewhere along the way I'm getting my adding and subtracting every messed up so I'm getting a different answer every single time. If you could just do the problem and let me know what you receive so I can compare and figure out what I'm doing wrong. Thank you so much

I know settings are dependent on each persons opinion. But, I'm still tweaking with the settings on my tv, I guess trying to receive them "just right. I use a 23" Vizio LED-LCD 1080p via HDMI to my 360. As far as contrast and color, brightness, etc what do you use? And please keep the retarded smart-ass answers for yourself if you have them. It's a simple question with a simple answer. Thank you. Basically, I want the colors to pop, while the blacks are wealthy but at the same time are not impossible to look. Because everytime I seem to receive a good setting, the blacks are too dark and I have to increase the brightness which throws off something else.

Im looking at this Toshiba. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Toshiba+-+Satellite+Laptop+with+AMD+Turion%26%23153%3B+II+Dual-Core+Mobile+Processor+-+Midnight+Breeze/9705346.p?id=1218154375878&skuId=9705346 And this Asus http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+Laptop+with+Intel%26%23174%3B+Pentium%26%23174%3B+Processor+-+Vintage+Brown/9700741.p?id=1218152460142&skuId=9700741 These two seem almost the same. The Asus has one more USB port, Ethernet to 1000 speed, 180GB more difficult steer, significantly better battery life. The Toshiba, on the other hand, has an LCD screen as opposed to the Asus' LED (I dont know what the difference is). The Toshiba also has a way faster bus, for whatever that is worth, but it is also a larger and heavier machine for the same screen size. The Asus has a better warranty. Of course, the internal components also have their special little brand names... which I cannot compare. I can compare numbers. I cant compare brands and models. I dont know jack about laptops, and little about computer hardware... so a little help would be great... I have heard of Toshiba, but I didnt know they made computers. In my limited research, they seem to have a good rep. But I have never even heard of Asus. I asked this question a half-day ago http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhwC7MnxWEJxFI.Gp5X3P3nsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20100828220410AAHlXC6

NO PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY HAVE THIS CONDITION, as far as I know. I am only 14 years old :(( But I use the computer every the time. I am VERY nearsighted and do not wear my glasses when using the computer, so instead, I lean closer.... But I've been using the internet since I was 10 or something, and it's only been this year that I think I might have polyopia. I read about "Computer Vision Syndrome" and polyopia is one of the symptoms. I read that polyopia was a "cataract"... PLEASE READ THIS QUESTION AND ITS ANSWER: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090102204250AACxqGg It was only this year that I started to make the monitor's screen darker. That's supposed to be a good thing, right? For example, the brightness used to be 80 percent, and I reduced it to 20. The contrast, I made it 50 and I think it used to be higher before. It was like that for a while. But I noticed that it was only after that time (not right away) that I started seeing white ghost like images at the edge of the doors, when I am coming from a well-lit room, and entering a dark room. I first saw it at the edge of the bathroom (where there was no window). I thought at first it was my imagination (but I have no psychological problems at every, and am not depressed, and am not that worried about ghosts) but then I saw it every the time I had to go to the bathroom at night. Then, I also started seeing that white ghost like image not just at the bathroom, but at the edge of my bedroom door. I look it when going out of my lighted bedroom into the hallway (where there is a window, that's why it's not as dark as the bathroom). As you can look with similarity, the question that I linked you too stated that his polyopia got worse over time. It was also mentioned in the question that these ghost like images show up where there is high contrast of light and dark. Do you think it's because my computer monitor's contrast is higher than the brightness? (It used to be the brightness that was higher) I mean, I lowered the brightness specifically so that it would not have too much of a contrast with the background of my room. PLEASE HELP ME!!! Please tell me what I should do to help this condition? Currently I made my computer monitor brightness 20 and contrast 20 (so they're equal). I don't wear my glasses because I am not supposed to wear distant glasses while using the monitor screen, but I try to wear them right now. Do you think it will help? Does it block of "radiation" that causes this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cataract I went here and read below "Causes". I eat a lot of fish and salt, so I don't think I lack Iodine. It also says something about "radiation" or something... What the... is there computer radiation?? They said if the brightness of your computer is low, the less radiation. And I use LCD... "Denaturation of lens protein" what???

If your familiar with 3D technology, you might have the same question as mine. What is so special about the new 3D tv's. They run at over 120Hz, which most new HDTV already do. So what is so special about them? To me it sounds a lot like a marketing scheme. This type of technology been around for some time. Nvidia has what its called the 3D vision which can take any LCD monitor with a refresh rate of 120Hz and allow you to play PC games in 3D, with the help of battery powered shutter glasses. So I went to best buy today and asked the specialist, what is the main difference between this new 3D TV and this regular LCD? Both run at 120Hz. His answer was a chip inside the 3D tv that the regular does not have. What does the Chip do exactly? He answers it creates a 3D image o_O? Ohh really? From what it seams every you really need is a TV with a refresh rate of 120Hz or more, a 3D DVD player, or a PS3, A pair of $129 shutter glasses and you too can view movies and play games in 3D. Now just note that not every movies are filmed to be viewed in 3D, nor every games can be played in 3D. Movies have to be filmed with special cameras that have two lenses, and games and animations have to be rendered in two different angles. If you know anything about 3D please leave an answer.

Hello, my question revolves around minor (not deep) scratches on the psp screen and how to receive rid of them. The scratches are not deep and are not noticeable to anyone but me...they are very tiny scratches. I know this question has been asked many times here on yahoo, and i did research, but with little result. one answer that caught my attention was the use of a spray called "plexus" to aid in getting rid of them. so my question would be - 1). How to receive rid of minor scratches on the psp screen? 2). Would you suggust the use of Plexus? 3). Have you used Plexus (if so what were the results)? Thank You for your Time.

I live in a tiny room currently in japan, I adore the room cause it is very modern in itself, just tiny but I have made it so everything I like and have is in the room and I would say it looks rather big compared to many people that live in big houses. I dad flew over, engineer like me, enjoys projects and wanted to jump on this project to help me out, we layer the walls with selves the size with the width of my desk and as strong to hold up to well over 1000 pounds and, pretty much the room doubled in size, my desk, over my desk, feels like another desk but has every the equipment and larger displays, other half of the room, I decided to lift my bed 6 feet off the ground which practically makes the room look as if it were completely open, pure awesome. What I need help now is on the network of every the machines running in the room, I absolutely hate having a machine run independently and currently this little home of mine is causing some serious power, talking data middle storage power bills and worth it right now to upgrade systems right away since it every goes toward power.. I am changing my story, forget the story and what I want done cause I won't receive any answers asking so much so here is 2 basic questions. I would like to buy a IPAD, and a 26" LCD monitor. since the IPAD has thought up everything I am sure this function exist, but I need to make sure. When I pick a movie or any media to watch I would like to transfer it wireless to the 26" display, talking no wires here. (is this possible and what do I need) The display is going to need to be plugged into some device just like the VAIO laptop which is called (NETGEAR Push2TV Adapter for Intel® Wireless Display) connect this device to your display and push a button on the laptop and only very few laptops and instantly the media has now transferred over to the secondary display - is this possible with the IPAD cause if not wtf is wrong with them being a multitask piece of glass that is super automation without functions like this. Second, I run a Yamaha AV Receiver using a creative DTS-610 to connect to the computer so the receiver receives a digital signal, I am going to have to plug this into the IPAD (correct or can I buy a module like the push 2 tv where it transmits the audio as well so I can just walk around in the room, ease of use in bed with the IPAD and control one simple thing media I want to watch, sounds simple right, will it work. Clear up another question, on the desk side, the power hungry tower will be off throughout the day unless I use it to play a game, the laptop is what I will use and plug the 3 1.5TB external drives into it for every the media storage and where the IPAD will be receiving the data so I can push a button once I have the media and lay back and watch the show I am looking to watch. I am about to go and steer down to the apple store to ask this same very question so please help before I go wasting my time.

With an MSRP of $1299, the LTV-32w3HD is priced lower than many other 32" LCD HDTVs with a built in tuner and the overall image quality is better than its price suggests. For viewers that do not need a built-in tuner, I would suggest checking out the LTV-32w1 for about $999, as this is a great value if the image quality is anywhere close the LTV-32w3 HD.

My TV also seems to have a few more picture setting options when I output in 1080p over 720p. This is my TV http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+32%22+Class+/+720p+/+60Hz+/+LCD+HDTV/9773985.p?id=1218170915188&skuId=9773985&st=Samsung%2032-inch%20LCD&cp=1&lp=5 I posted this on a forum and received no useful answers so I figured I'd arrive here with it: "So I got me an HDTV and I've tried outputting in both 720 and 1080p. The TV itself is 720p, but the picture definitely changes when I use 1080p. I like the 1080p output a lot more on this tv, so I wanted to ask a few questions for those of you with 720p TVs before I keep this setting permanently When you play, do you output in 1080p or 720p? Will there be any bad effects that I will notice outputting in this resolution instead of standard? Also, my TV seems to have more adjustments available when I output in 1080p. Is this normal?" Thoughts?

Thanks for the answers. :) The screen broke, not the clamshell, or anything, the screen itself.

I'm a geek, but my enthusiasm far exceeds my skill. When I do research on google, I can read for an hour and, although I do find a few answers to some of my questions, I end up having more questions. I find Yahoo Answers more useful because, if I'm able to word my question just right, it can keep me a tremendous amount of time. Even if I do have to go back and use google, I can be more focused with the answers you guys give. Anyway, we have a 32-inch 720i LCD TV (the lowest resolution). We'd like to move that into a bedroom and upgrade in our living room. Believe it or not, I've been getting different answers, including the internet, but especially from the floor people at Frys and Best Buy. Usually there's just one sales assistant who knows and the relax are just guessing. Of course, the one that knows is always busy! What is your interpretation of these terms: 1. 1080i 2. 1080p (Is 1080 at type of HD ... compared to 720 anyway?) 3. HD (I'm guessing this is just a general term meaning higher resolution.) 4. Blu Ray (Is Blu Ray a type of HD? Are there different kinds or levels of Blu Ray?) Thanks. With your answers, hopefully I can be a more intelligent shopper. Also, this seems like a really chilly idea. Decent laptop projectors are just a few hundred dollars or less if you can find them on sale. I could be talked into sacrificing resolution in favor of saving money and getting and even bigger picture. Do you think it's a good idea to buy a laptop projector and show movies on a blank wall? I'm asking becasue I don't look many people doing this. More often than not, people pay more for big screen TVs. I know our kids would sure adore the movie theater atmosphere!

In fact, the estimated road price for the newer N3251w is $999.

Hello, id like to ask a few questions about HDMI plugin/cable by number priority's lower being higher. 1. If i connect from PC(graphic card) HDMI to TV(supports HDMI) HDMI using HDMI/HDMI cable, will it be able to show windows on TV screen (not just movies/pics) like desktop and normally working/operating with windows just like on monitor/LCD via mouse/keyboard? 2. I have gold plated HDMI installed in graphic card, does this mean i must have only gold plated HDMI plugins or normal ones work same? (TV HDMI has normal plugin installed) 3. Not only i wanna watch pics/movies from bed on TV with HDMI, but id like to operate windows normally just like on monitor/LCD as mentioned previously via mouse (its got strong range i tested from bed to PC... btw TV and PC are about 2m away from each others just a note.) 4. Does audio work as normal as video, cuz ive heard u gotta receive an extra pin for the sound and its more expensive, but only a rumor ive read. 5. Do i need HDMI adapter? Will this every work normally just with cables plugged :)? wish its not too much questions but i really dont wanna miss anything im new at this, u can answer in tiny forms like yes/no, just so i can be sure; please every answers welcomed. P.S. please if ive missed anything i dont know about this let me know with further details Thanks alot.

The VIZIO SV420XVT is a high performance sports car that can deliver top notch picture quality. But like a race car, you will have to receive below the hood occasionally to tune it for different road conditions. If you don't like getting your hands dirty, then look to a more every-utility vehicle, something like the VIZIO VO42LF.

ok, I'm in the market for an HDTV, preferably Samsung, 40" or 46", primary function would be gaming, secondary movie etc... I was going for a 6 series C650 LCD, I had decided to go with the safer choice BUT I found a 46B7000 LED with reasonable price, but later doing a little research I found edge lit LEDs aren't really recommended btu couldn't really find an straight answer to whether B7000 is back lit or edge lit, of course samsung seems to claim it's back lit but I saw a few articles that suggested the contrary. so now the question is, is B7000 really back lit or edge lit? should I even GO for an LED or I'm better off sticking with an LCD? what is the cheapest truly backlit LED samsung or sony offers? thank you every in advance. dear sirs, I know todays LEDs are in fact LCDs BUT from what I researched the difference between side/edge lit LEDs and back lit ones seems to be VERY dramatic, now what I wanna know is, is samsung 46B7000 side lit or back lit, if it's side lit, should I go for it anyway or stick with something like 6 series LCDs? something like C650 or close to that model? thank you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LED-backlit_LCD_television this is what worries me http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-18438_7-10370112-82.html the part about local dimming is my main concern http://hdtvtutors.com/2009/12/17/compare-b7000-vs-b7100-vs-b8000-vs-b8500-b6000/ >Compare Samsung UN-B7000 vs UN-B8500 LED HDTVS: >by far the most important and major selling point is the upgrade from edge-lit LED backlighting to a more capable and superior LED panel with local dimming.

Like its colorful cousin, the N4285p, the ViewSonic N4290p displays a lush, saturated, satisfying image, especially when feeding it HD programs. Make sure that you sit front and middle because the picture does wash out if you are watching off to the side.

The only problem with my tv is that i dont think im getting the full benefit of it, its not blurry or jagged eges or washed out, it just does not look like the great amazing ps3 graphics i imagined, or maybe i was expecting to much, and will a larger size hdtv make the PQ any better?

Hello I'm attempting to gain a better understanding of the operations involved with reducing the following algebraic fraction into lowest terms: (3-(1/x))/(9-(1/x^2) I already have the answer via an answer key, but I cannot figure out how one reaches the given answer (x/3x+1). Methods including using a LCD of (x) w/ the denominator and numerator has yielded results other than the correct answer. My overall familiarity w/ algebraic fractions is limited, so please forgive any obvious neglect of basic principles - please assume I have no exposure whatsoever to these concepts (which is fairly close to the case here). Thanks in advance for your help.

OK, so I have two computers. A Desktop with an LCD screen, and connected by HDMI to this computer I have a big LCD HD TV. Second I have my net-book. Both computers have wireless, are connected (LAN), And both are running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. I often run a movie on my desktop using the TV screen as my display, and use the TV sound via HDMI. So my question is, would there be some way for me to open a movie on my netbook, and have the movie output to the TV, by using the TV as its seccondary display. It would connect through wireless to my desktop which would share the TV display connected to it, and thus make it accessible to the netbook. I already worked out network sound, I have my desktops soundcard shared, so I can access it via the netbook and use it as my primary audio device, so I can receive sound to play on the TV. I just want to do the same with video. Please dont give me answers such as streaming, or Connecting my netbook to the TV directly. I want to use the TV as a remote display. I want to somehow share it on the network on my desktop as I did with my sound. Thanks, any help would be appreciated. Please also tell me a program which I can use for this, or instructions to make this work. Im not trying to wirelessly connect to my TV, I want to access it via Wifi, through my computer. I do not need any other hardware. I want my computer to simply share one of its displays, with other computers across the network. So dont tell me I need hardware. I have every the hardware I need. Like I said I accomplished this task with sound, using this method. And I didnt plug the sound directly into the TV from the laptop, but rather I was using the sound card of my desktop PC, as my possess soundcard. And that soundcard was hooked to the TV with HDMI :D I want to do the same with Video. By the answers I've gotten it seems like people dont receive what Im trying to receive done. Please read my answer carefully, sorry if its not clear enough. But its difficult for me to exlain any better.

Ok, so I want to receive a new tv for my xbox, however I have noticed there seems to be a signifigant price difference between "HD ready", and "full hd 1080p" tv's.
