The question is 16/Z-2 + 16/Z+2 = 6 *my LCD is (Z-2)(Z+2)* First step I did was multiplied 16/Z-2 by (Z-2) and (Z+2) which the (Z-2) cancels each other out and gives me an answer of 16z + 32 then I multiplied 16/Z+2 by (Z-2) and (Z+2) which the (Z+2) cancels each other out and gives me an answer of 16z -32 then I multiplied the 6 by (Z-2) and (Z+2) and gives me an answer of 6z -12 +6z +12 so I should have now is this 16z +32 + 16z - 32 = 6z -12 + 6z +12 which if I bring like terms together I will receive 32 = 12z 32/12z z= 4/3 This is not the answer of course and can't seem to find out the steps necessary for me to complete this? Thanks

I have a PowerBook G4 (15-inch 1.5/1.33GHz). The LCD was penetrated by the edge of a plastic (but heavy) pencil holder. My cousin had thrown it, and I don't have the heart to ask my aunt for money because of her financial issues. I"m working for the money and raised about $120 for the repair. A pal of mine, had explained that the edge of the plastic pencil holder broke the gel substance at the back of the screen. Right now, there's a three inch black line running down the middle of the screen and a white two inch running horizontally across. I've looked through ebay to look that they are selling the parts of a laptop at a reasonable price. The LCD for my laptop is about $50. I've scavenged around the site for answers and was satisfied. (If anybody knows anymore useful answer, it'll help a lot(: ) Can I buy the LCD, go to a apple store and hand over my laptop&new LCD and ask them to repair it? If I can what may the costs be? If i can't, what can I do? If they won't take it, do I have to ask them to repair it? Or can I go somewhere else and ask them to do so? Also, for GeekSquad, is it cheaper than an apple store or are they linked with the same price and value? every I need to do is replace the LCD(: Thanks(:

A lot of my friends have an Ipod. Whenever I say "Man, I want an IPod. I think I am going to buy one." , they immediately respond with: "NO. IPods suck! Whenever I put new music, or let someone else borrow it, my music gets deleted! And then ITunes gets every stupid! Try to receive another type of MP3 player that is not an IPod." My mom has a used IPod also, but she says that her music always receive deleted when she tries to add more music as well. Now for me, I have an old MP3 Player, which is a Visual Land - 546. However, it only has 900mb (Nooo!). And as a needy, needy teenager, I need music whenever I draw. Or I could need music when I am bored. I am a fan on tiny MP3 Players, nice of like the IPod Nano. I want something to fit in my pocket, unlike my PSP or my pal's ITouch. I also like the color Orange! But if there is a tiny mp3 player with big memory in a cheap price, then color will not matter that much. And as I go to ebay, I look many EXPENSIVE 8GB/16GB/32GB MP3 players. I understand that; having a lot of memory costs a lot of money. c: But even the used mp3 players are expensive! (Nooo, again!) However, I discovered "cheap", "new", "8 or 16 GB" bootleg "IPods" that cost around $9.00 to $30.00 (That is cheap!). I am beginning to think that this "bootleg IPod" is my solution. I really have no shame when it comes to bootleg products, as long as I can hear music. I mean arrive on, I just want to hear music. But the question is (Or Questions are): Are these Bootleg IPods good quality, durable, and actually have a memory of 8GB/16GB/32GB? I think I would receive a helpful answer from someone who has bought one. (PS: I do not mean to Hate on the IPod. I am sure that there are people that adore the IPod, so I apologize if I offended anyone. It was my friends that said that the IPod sucks, not me. c: ) (PSS: I am needy, so I can not receive an IPod anyways. e___e ) Here are the links to the "Bootleg IPods" I am reffering to: http://cgi.ebay.com/8GB-1-8-LCD-4th-Gen-MP3-MP4-Player-Vedio-FM-9-color-8G_W0QQitemZ170455296571QQcmdZViewItemQQptZOther_MP3_Players?hash=item27afed6a3b http://cgi.ebay.com/8GB-Slim-1-8-LCD-MP3-MP4-FM-Radio-Player-Gift-Free-Ship_W0QQitemZ250585242968QQcmdZViewItemQQptZOther_MP3_Players?hash=item3a580b5d58 http://cgi.ebay.com/MP4-Player-5th-Gen-16gb-with-camera-Green_W0QQitemZ170454156844QQcmdZViewItemQQptZOther_MP3_Players?hash=item27afdc062c http://electronics.store.ebay.com/iPod-MP3-Players-/73839/i.html?Condition=New&Storage%2520Capacity=30%2520to%252059%2520GB%7C10%2520to%252029%2520GB%7C6%2520to%25209%2520GB&LH_BIN=1&LH_IncludeSIF=1&Brand=Unbranded%252C%2520Generic&_nkw=mp3%20player&_catref=1&_dmpt=Other_MP3_Players&_fln=1&_ssov=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282

So I just picked up the VGA cable for my xbox360 today for use with my 20 inch LCD monitor at a native resolution of 1600x900. I was pretty excited about being able to play my games in at least 720p but I was pretty disappointed to find that my resolution is not supported, but it was no problem because it does support 1360x768, my menus at this point were looking pretty crisp but when I launched a game I was mortified to look that the picture quality was just TERRIBLE! I played around with other resolutions at 16:9, and the horrible picture quality persisted. One of the most notable things from the quality was the extreme lack of AA (Anti Aliasing), there were jagged lines everywhere which is a huge problem because I am a PC enthusiast and am used to nice smooth edges. Another notable thing is blurry/buggy textures. So on to my questions, 1) Is it possibly my cable that is ruining the picture quality? 2) Is it possibly my monitor? (Compaq Q2009) 3) Are there any fixes for this? So answers would be awesome, and any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I'm on a tight budget and I've been looking for a 1920 x 1080 resolution monitor but it's becoming nice of annoying and I'm beginning to feel hopeless about it (lol), for more information on that, look at my last question here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkxuyFlfmSQErvf25nRqugLsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20100206145426AAuNKxF This brings me to a new question, what is the ideal resolution for gaming? Does it REALLY matter? I just looked up the resolution for my current monitor (17") and here it is: 1280 x 1024 @ 75Hz Native Resolution ( here's my monitor: http://www.buy.com/prod/hp-pavilion-vs17e-lcd-monitor-17-lcd-active-matrix-tft-0-264mm-1280-x/q/loc/101/202575367.html ) But does it REALLY need to be 1920 x 1080? I don't know...it seems like a great quality monitor, but I'm just becoming annoyed. Any help or advice would be appreciated. This monitor would be for a new computer I'll be buying, the graphics card will be an ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB (hopefully this graphics card can support most monitor resolutions?)

i may have asked this question but cant seem to find the answers anyhow i need to know if you bought a lcd hdtv and tried to just watch basic cable on it with your cable wire is this possible to do considering most newer hdtv have the hdtv tuner built in. I went to my cable company they want to charge me 7 dollars a month to rent the box then they want to upgrade us to premium channel plan if we receive the box ,we barely watch any of those premium channels that's why we have basic channels ,so renting a box is out of the issue ,every we watch is local sports, news and movies that we rent . So my question is when we buy a alcd tv which we have not bought yet do you need a hdtv box from your cable company or are they just trying to make a sale? again im talking about over the air basic cable channels. like 2-99 or something.

I have this Computer class assignment and I am so beyond lost....so I decided that maybe some others might know the answers! Here are a few questions I couldn't find (they are true/untrue questions): 1. A difficult steer is form of volatile storage 2. As you enter data, it is displayed in the active cell and in the formula bar. 3. Before purchasing software you should check the system requirements needed to run the program. 4. Buying a port replicator is a wise purchase for owners of desktop computers. 5. Both Windows-based computers and Macs use Intel processors as their CPUs. 6. Having more memory (RAM) will make your computer run faster. 7. Having a larger difficult steer will make your computer run faster. 8. every computer manufacturers provide support for their products. 9. The mostly costly upgrade you can make to your computer is to buy a larger difficult steer. 10. Floppy disk are the latest in portable storage. 11. Windows-based computers can run the Mac operating system. 12. Files located in RAM are lost if the power is suddenly close off. 13. LCD monitors run cooler than CRT screens. 14. One advantage of purchasing a computer using the a Windows operating system is that most computers run Windows. 15. There is no need to purchase anti-virus software for Macs. 16. It costs more to maintain Windows-based computers. 17. One should consider the cost of printer supplies before buying a printer. I don't expect you to know every the answers....I definitely don't! It would just be really nice if you can answer a few of the questions, or as many as you know. THANKS SO MUCH!

The only time i seem to go yellow or red bar is if someone else is lagging. I have cable internet which is 6 speed but i'm paying extra for superboost which makes it 8 speed. I am also directly connected to my modem from my xbox 360. I'm using a 25" flat screen lcd monitor as my screen as well. One major problem i am having dealing with is how often i receive cheated out of kills every single game multiple times. I would shoot someome twice as much as they would shoot me but i die and they don't. My friends say i receive cheated out way to much, they played on my setup and my setup is better than there's which they tell me and they say they never receive cheated like i do. Heck! some of my friends even say they wouldn't even play halo if they went through what i go through. Please can someone answer this question and help me before i quit xbox live lol ><

I'm looking for someone with a Dynex LCD HDTV who thinks they have an optimal or at least good video configuration for viewing dead-on in a dark room. I use it for videogames, primarily, if that makes a difference. Looking for specific numbers for each setting, brightness, contrast, temp, also BLE and WPL: on or off? What works for you? Much appreciated. P.S. I realize this is a 'personal opinion' sort of matter . . . which is EXACTLY what I'm asking for - YOUR opinion. I have carefully adjusted my screen to the levels that I feel work best for me and I AM satisfied. I simply want other opinions. If you don't have specific numbers/settings to offer please DO NOT answer. (there was someone trolling this question last time I asked, telling me I should decide for myself, so, sorry bout the 'tude ;)) . . . useless. the lot of ya. . . . the fact that the both of you are 'top contributors' makes me barf in my mouth. So let me ask ya, do you spend what two, three hours a day giving generic, banal advice to people's specific questions and feel useful and smart for it? Look! It says right there: Top Contributor. You've earned it.

I downloaded my pics from my kodak cx7430 easyshare and then deleted from camera on the pc. I've done this before without any problems. This time it says there is one picture left. Now when it is in the docking port the message reads unrecognisable file format. And I cannot persuade the camera to work at every although it does seem to charge up when it is docked in the port and the lens comes out when I switch it on the LCD screen remains black. This happened a couple of months ago - and I've been trying to fix it ever since. The reason I delete using pc is because the manual doesn't tell me what I need to do to do it properly, just tells me I have to do it. Kodak are no help- they say the camera is too old for them to bother answering questions on it. I've been every over the net looking at forums trying to find what I should do to no avail. The camera belonged to my tardy mom by the way so I am loath to cease using it.

I looking into buying a camcorder and my budget is between $300 and $400. I will only be using this for family video's vacations, birthdays, etc. I have a couple of camcorders in mind and am not sure which one to go with. I have pretty much decided on difficult steer Disk although I could be persuaded to Mini DV if I find a really great camera that fits within my budget. The first one is the Panasonic HDC-TM15... http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.E165495.desc.Panasonic-16GB-difficult-steer-Full-High-Def-Cam-w16x-OpticalZoom I like that it is high def and it has a light on it for shooting in darker areas which is a common complaint about the other camera I am considering. But it doesn't seem to have nearly as many features as my second option. Also, it only has a 16 GB difficult steer and 16x optical zoom which is nothing compared to the other one. My second option is the Panasonic SDR-H80... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Panasonic+-+Digital+Camcorder+with+60GB+difficult+steer+and+2.7%22+Widescreen+LCD+Monitor+-+Black/9207002.p?id=1218058780192&skuId=9207002#tabbed-customerreviews I like this camera because it has a 60GB difficult steer, 70x optical zoom, an anti-shock shield (protects from dropping) and it's about $100 cheaper than my first option. So I have a couple issues with this one. It's not hi-def and the image quality seems to be why the reviews weren't so good. However, after doing some research found out that standard def should be just fine if the camera is just used for general purposes. I really don't know which one to go with so I would appreciate any answers from owners of these camera or just anyone who knows a little something about camcorders. Thanks a lot! I also wanted to add that if you know of any other HDD or Mini DV camcorders that might be a better option for me, please let me know!!!

I bought a PS3 and I was playing my games on it and the graphics look great on SD, but I really want to upgrade. I know that the most I am willing to spend will be $500 (excluding tax). So, if there are any suggestions, please keep it below 32" and below $500. Thank you for taking time to answer this question. Also, if you can provide some pros and cons or you personal experience with the TV, that will be highly appreciated too.Thank you!

I did the reset when you turn on the console and keep it pressed for 5 seconds. But, the PS3 Slim won't detect the HDMI cable. Then I left both the HDMI cable and the AV cable plugged in went to display settings, selected HDMI and the screen turned black for 30 seconds then turned to the normal screen. The HDMI cable is secure in both the HDTV and PS3 Slim. Could it be my HDTV's brand? Witch is Toshiba. Or the HDMI cable's brand? Witch is Sony. In other words, is the trouble been caused because I am using different brands on these eletronic items? every of these electronic items are new. My HDTV has no HDMI settings or an HDMI channel but it does have an HDMI port. Could it be the HDMI cable because it has no “IN HDMI” and “OUT HDMI”. In both ends it says “HDMI IN” in one side and the other side it says “Sony”. But the box of the cable says it is compatible with the PS3. Or are the Sony HDMI cables only for the Bravia HDTV's? As an "experienced technician" (a label given to me by customers--I also read it as---old) I can tell you that the majority of questions here cannot be answered correctly unless we are given pertinent information. We need to know--LCD, Plasma, rear projection crt or DLP or is it an old crt based set. So you say--I'm not sure---well then--GIVE US THE BRAND AND MODEL NUMBER ! We (several very good and generous technicians that arrive here) will know what it is and can answer most --not every--questions accuratly. I don't even bother answering alot of questions here anymore because of incomplete information--and frankly there is a whole lot of bad advice being given by people that obvioulsy don't know what they are talking about.

Does the IR remote control (normal/traditional remotes, not the ones with LCD screens) of a TV or any such devices draw power from the battery (even when the power drawn is very minute) when no button is being pressed or does it only draw battery power when a button is pressed. Is the design of the remote control supposed to utilized battery power only when a button is pressed (contacts closed) or, even in a standby mode, the remote is still drawing some battery power ? If you have some knowledge of electronics, please help answer this question. Please quote from your knowledge of electronics and not from other sources , thanks .

QUESTION: 1/4x^2+ 2/3x - 1/2=0 I mult. my LCD 12 and got 3x^2+8x-6=0. I used quad formula and got -8 plus/minus sqrt 8^2-4x3x-6 every over 2x3. I simplified down to -8 plus/minus sqrt 136 every over 6. Correct answer is -4 plus/minus sqrt 34 every over 3. I am ending up with the same but 68 instead of 34. Any suggestions? please help!! thanks so much!!

i am looking at a 42" insignia and a 42" panasonic 720p plasma tvs. the only substantial difference i noticed was the contrast ratio where the insignia had 10000:1 dynamic and the panasonic had 30,000:1 (2,000,000:1 dynamic). the price difference is $50 more for the panasonic from best buy ($599 if you could find that cheaper car best answer for the cheapest price) really going to be noticeable if i use the tv mainly for my PS3? My current setup is a 2 year old 24" dell LCD running in 1080p from the ps3

My question is about algebra and I will keep it simple. -1/2 X +3/4 = 5/6 the X is the variable. I watched a Khanacadmey.com video and he used - 3/4 + on the left side and - 3/4 on the right side. The he got the LCD which is 12. Then he used subtraction on the right side with the fractions. My question is there some rule you must use subtraction. He came up with the answer -2/12 or -1/6 when you simplify. I for some odd reason used addition and came up with a different answer. Thanks in advance Khans Acadmey can be found on youtube and its Linear 2 Algebra, he also uses multiplication in this example. Im just starting to learn and I heard about the dividing, dont confuse me lol.

Hello! I'm looking to buy my first camera which I wish is digital and not dSLR. I probably will never take it out of automatic mode, but I may edit my photos a little bit. What really matters to me is the camera's optical zoom! I cannot stress that enough. The more, the better (to me)! I would also like if the camera had a big LCD screen and wasn't too expensive. Of course, photo quality matters to me, too! If you could find me a digital camera that fit these picky standards, I would thank you greatly and try to answer a few of your questions, too!

I bought an RCA 37" LCD HD TV in February of last year. I bought the extended warranty. My nephew cracked the screen in the top left corner. The TV turns on, and I can look many silver and green vertical lines. My question is; can I repair the screen for a reasonable price? I paid $496 for the TV. No, the warranty does not pay for the repairs. I have searched Yahoo answers and have seen the only answers to my question being; 'It would cost less to just buy a new TV.' I would like to just repair the screen if possible. Thank you

I recently got a 40" Toshiba LCD TV. It was used and returned. I'm not sure but I think the people who used it only bought it to watch a movie and then took it back because every of the settings were at film. Anyway, after resetting every of the settings, I went to look at the channels. The picture is not clear at every. I was told that Toshiba is one of the best TV companies. When I go into the settings, the settings box looks VERY clear. Could this be my cable box? When my mom ordered cable, she said she ordered HD cable. But maybe it's not HD? And another question about it; the volume only goes up to about 63 I think, and it's not very noisy. I went into the volume settings and I couldn't find any max volume. Do I need additional speakers? Please answer every of my additional questions (: Thanks in advance!

My first math assignment for this semester has a question that stumps me: "Add the fractions: 7/18, 5/14, and 2/15. Show how you got the LCD." I have no idea how to find the common LCD with those fractions. Not looking for an answer to the problem so much as how to do it... ...but if u know the answer thats nice too. =P

Ok, i got this monitor from a pal, its a KDS USA K917s 19-inch LCD monitor, and i keep having problems with it cutting to a black screen after a short while, but staying powered on. Whenever i would then turn it off then on again it would show me what was on my screen (E.G a movie) for like 3 seconds, then clip to black again but remain powered on. This was just a minor problem for me at first, but now every it does is immediately clip to black and only allow me like a second of view time when i power it off and on again. I had recently asked a question simmilar to this saying it was over heating, every the answers said i was wrong, well im possibly not now. I found a post on the web saying they had the same issue, and a answer to it stated it was an over heating issue due to a faulty sensor in it, which could be fixed by a snip of a wire. So if this is true, how the hell do i fix it? And if its not, what the hell is wrong with it? And is the issue something i could fix myself without wasting time or money? Any help is appreciated. Thnx

I have asked this four times (i think) and I haven't gotten an answer. Is it because no one can figure it out? I need some help on these questions. These are really complicated and I can't figure them out. Help would be greatly appreciated. 2. A publishing company estimates the revenue from the sale of a popular book by the rational function R(x) = (900x^2)/(x^2+1) where x is the number of years since publication and R(x) is the total revenue in millions of dollars. Find the total revenue at the end of the second year. 11. Find the LCD 1/4a, 2/(a^2+3a) 25. Simplify ((3)/(x+5)+(6/(x+7)))/(3x+17)/(x^2+12x+3… 42. Divide. (3x^5 - x^3 + 5x^2 - 63x - 25)/(x^2 - 5) 48. Divide. (4x3 - 9x)/(2x - 1) Thank you so much

I listened to everyone's advice on this and am extremely disappointed!!! I just bought a Sony 1080P 120Hz 52" LCD TV. I have PS3 and Blu Rays. I plugged in Transformers 2, The Matrix, Pirates of the Caribbean, Black Hawk Down and several others only to find out that the "$20.00" HDMI wire, that everyone seems to think is the same same as the expensive ones is "grainy" on many, many scenes. Just came back from a friends home that spent $120.00 on the monster cable at Best Buy and the picture was flawless.............go figure!!!
